Did you know December and January are when gyms sell the most gym memberships? The most popular New Year resolutions are weight loss and to get in shape, and many of us (I know I have tried this) assume that buying the gym membership will be enough motivation. Sometimes it even works, but rarely for very long. Instead, here are some easy ways to get motivated to lose weight (and then stay motivated once you’ve started!): Be nice to yourself. One of the hardest parts is admitting and then deciding to lose weight so congratulate yourself for doing that! The negative records that play in ...

With the holiday season gearing up into full swing, most of us are more concerned about how big of a turkey (and then tree) to get than we are about our flexible spending account through work. Financial experts will tell you that is a big mistake – if you have a medical flexible spending account (FSA) through your employer and you don’t use that money by the end of the year then you’ll lose it. That’s right – use it or lose it. This is also the time of year for open enrollment for employee benefits, so if you haven’t been taking advantage of your ability to save through a FSA...

HP Printing Mailbox for use with Presto Service

Grandparents and great-grandparents love photos of their grandchildren, but if they are not familiar with computers and have a tough time understanding modern technology, it can be tough to keep up with them. Like most of the population, I have begun using digital cameras as opposed to those that require film for all of my picture-taking since almost everyone I know has an email address and the photos are easy to store. Unfortunately, for those that do not have a computer or internet access to email like my grandmother, I still have to print the digital photos and then mail them. This can get expensive and there is always the possibility of the pictures getting damaged in transit to her. Thankfully I have found an HP product that solves my problem and keeps grandma updated on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: the HP Presto Printing Mailbox.

This product is fantastic – it is the exact solution I was looking for. Here is how it works: one of us (probably yours truly) sets up the printer at Grandma’s home using an existing phone line and standard HP printing cartridges. Once the HP Printing Mailbox is set up, we set up the Presto Service which issues Grandma an email address. The service is only $9.99 per month or $99.99 for the year, and it includes unlimited emails. We simply send the pictures to her new email address and the printer automatically retrieves and prints them for her. She also has the option to receive news through the same service. All we have to do is make sure she has paper, which does not have to be photo-quality paper, and occasionally change the ink cartridge, but the kit comes with both.

HP Presto Printing Mailbox prints images and messages for your loved ones to help you keep in touch with them

Grandma absolutely loves being kept up to date with the family and this finally gives us the opportunity to do so for her. Now we can make sure she constantly has photos of her 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson without the hassle of printing them ourselves or the risk of them getting damaged in the mail. I highly recommend this product for anyone who has elderly relatives or just wants an easy way to keep up the family.
